Return and Cancellation Policy

What is your refund policy? The Transparent Language, Inc. store by Digital River offers a 6-month money back guarantee.

How do I request a refund? To obtain a refund, please click here to look up your order. Click "Request a Return" and follow the instructions to initiate your refund.

How do I cancel my order? If you chose to pay by check or money order and have not yet sent your payment, your order will automatically be cancelled after 30 days.

You can submit a request to cancel your order on the same day the order was placed (unless your product is on backorder). Please note that your request may not be able to be approved because your order has already been shipped. Click here to submit a request to cancel your order.

If your order cannot be cancelled, you will get an email notification when the order is shipped. You can also look up your order to view the shipping status of your order.

When will my credit appear on my credit card? Your refund credit will appear on your card 5 - 7 business days after we receive your completed letter of destruction (ELOD or LOD).

FAQs

  • Can I expect to have the right to return the item for any reason?
    Yes, you may return your product back for a refund for any reason as long as it is within the 6 month guarantee. We will refund back the purchase price of the product, less shipping and handling.

  • If the item is not what I expected, can I expect a full refund?
    If the item you purchased is not what you expected or doesn't fit your needs, you may return it back to us for a refund, less shipping and handling, within 6 months from purchase date.

  • If I receive an incorrect item or it is broken, can I expect a replacement with no extra shipping fees?
    If you receive an incorrect item or the item arrives damaged, we will ship you out the correct item or a replacement of your broken item at no charge. Please contact us by email at info@transparent.com and include your order number.

  • Can I expect to pay a restocking fee?
    No, we do not charge restocking fees for returns.

  • Are there additional discounts if I already own one language of Byki?
    No, each language of Byki is sold separately.

  • Do you offer upgrade pricing?
    Yes, please give us a call at 800-567-9619 and press option 2 for Customer Service, and then press option 6 for upgrades.

  • What is your best beginner product?
    A great way to start out learning a language is with vocabulary and we have just the product called Byki. Byki is a computerized flashcard program for learning vocabulary words and phrases. To find more about the product, check out www.byki.com.

  • Do you offer free products and services?
    Yes, we offer a free Word of the Day, free Byki express software download, free language blogs, and more. You can check them out on our Free Resources page.

  • What languages do you offer?
    We offer over 100 different languages. You can check out a complete list of all the languages we offer online. Just click on the language itself to be taken to the language page to see what is available.

  • How do I unsubscribe from your mailing lists?
    You may unsubscribe from our email lists, by clicking on unsubscribe at the bottom of the email you received from us. You may also send an email to info@transparent.com to request to be unsubscribed.

  • Do you offer products for the iPhone/iPod Touch/Android?
    Yes, we do offer our Byki app for all 3 devices. You can find the iPhone/iPod Touch apps sold through the Apple iTunes store. The Android apps can be purchased through the Android Market on your phone.

  • Are the Complete Editions available for Mac computer?
    No, unfortunately, the Complete Editions are Windows only.

  • What products do you have available for Mac?
    We offer our Byki Deluxe, Premium Editions, Everywhere Audio, and Languages of the World available for Mac.

  • Why does my credit card show I was charged twice?
    When ordering a download and a back-up CD in one order, the download cost is charged instantly and the back-up CD cost is not charged until the CD is shipped. However, you will also see a full authorization charge on the card for the entire amount of the order. The authorization charge will go away once the CD ships and you will then only have two separate charges on your card, one for the download cost and the other for the back-up CD.
