Hi Steve,
We found some delicious herring in sour creme at the WholeFoods Market. It was delicious according to my husband. He had some at the Vasa Museum last summer and enjoyed it several times while visiting friends in Stockholm.

Hej Anna, I just love this blog. I have had a ' Swedish brother ' for 40 some years. He lives in Uppsala and has a wonderful summar house on the west coast. I have been over a few times and feel I am part Swedish..hard to do when you live in New Mexico. When I feel the need to get 'Swedish' I go and get some herring and Wasa bread and enjoy. Can't seem to find any good snapps here though.
Yes I have had surstromming..whew!! I love your insight on Sweden.
I have had the IKEA meatballs and they are pretty good. Their selection of herring is real good also, unfortunatly we don't have an IKEA here in New Mexico. I have to go to California the get to an IKEA. Keep up the good work
ha de'
