The pronoun refers to the indirect object (her). In Spanish we use &quot;la(s)/lo(s)&quot; for the direct object and &quot;le(s)&quot; for the indirect object.

Just at the beginning stage (4 classes of basic Spanish) at our local senior center.  Even though your &quot;Un Poco de Arte&quot; article is well beyond my ability, I enjoy challenging myself with a taste of the advanced stuff every now and then.
