		<description>Chris: since tomatillos and tomatoes have very different tastes, you would not want to substitute here.  Tomatillos are also what give salsa verde its green color.  However, if you want to make a red salsa, you can use regular tomatoes, and instead of a chipotle pepper, use jalapeno or serrano chile.  These are very spicy, so I&#039;d take out the seeds and the veins, and only add half of the chile; taste, and if you want more heat, go ahead and put the rest in.  I&#039;ve ruined many a salsa dish by adding too much heat from the beginning!</description>
