Today one of my Russian friends sent me this link http://nexilo.ru/index.php?name=News&op=article&sid=42 and immediatly after looking at it I felt obligated to share it with you. Though I was skeptic at first, it turned out to be a lot more (fun!) than these words claim on the site: “Большая коллекция фотографий с интересными моментами из жизни В.В. Путина, посвещёная его уходу с поста президента России” [Big collection of photographs with interesting moments from the life of V. V. Putin, dedicated to his leaving the post as president of Russia.]
Here is Putin with Дед Мороз. Perhaps it’s only me, but doesn’t it seem to you as if Putin is searching for another way, looking for something new in книга добрых дел [the book of good deeds]?

As I looked at the picture, the little pixie in a heavy black coat reminded me of his pictures in karate class! (a small chortle here!) Personally, I like Putin and I also feel that he is doing his best to guide Russia toward becoming the great nation that it is and that it can be. Anyone can point to the control of television and other things; however, while I don’t like that this was done, I feel that mistakes will be made and, hopefully, corrected over time. The Russian people like Putin. They seem to like his governance. I also feel that his move to be appointed as “Prime Minister” by the President is a good move to achieve a greater continuity of governmental policy as well as a better foundation on which the seemingly “not yet grown up” Federated Russian government may well achieve a far greater level of democracy, or level of personal and economic freedoms for the Russian people.
