This week, a family found this in their house in a rural part of Goiás state:
The five meter-long, 75 kilo snake was captured by firemen and was brought to a wildlife treatment center. It will soon be released back into the wild. According to the authorities, there have been an increase in calls to rescue wildlife, due to more awareness about the environment.

On Monday, a man driving his car in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais had a nasty surprise.
As he was driving, a baby cascavel (rattlesnake) fell onto his lap. He immediately pulled over the car, and the authorities managed to capture the snake and bring it to the Polícia Ambiental (the Environmental Police). The man and the snake were both uninjured.
The man had been fishing on the Rio São Francisco, and surmised that the snake had somehow entered his car while he was out.
