For today’s interactive feature, the question is: what’s your favorite Brazilian dance?
Personally, my favorite kind of dance to do is lambada, which is sometimes referred to as zouk. It’s a ton of fun to dance, though it takes a bit of practice, and is a great workout. I also really enjoy forró from Salvador, which is a lot of fun. Also, while cheesy, axé dance is also a great time.

As we’ve seen in the blog, Brazil’s economy is booming, and the Economist reported yesterday that it has emerged from the recession.
So for today’s interactive feature, the question is: What do you think is Brazil’s most promising industry?
The most obvious answer would be petroleum, given the amount of press and political hoopla, but there are plenty of other industries making a mark on the economy: agriculture, food retail, technology, and telecoms, for example.

For today’s interactive feature, the question is: What’s your favorite Brazilian restaurant in the U.S.?

Though there are now quite a few excellent Brazilian restaurants in New York, like Porcão and Plataforma, my personal favorite is Fogo do Chão. Fogo has a fantastic meat rodizio and a huge salad bar in a very luxurious setting. I’ve been to the DC branch, but they also have locations throughout the U.S., including Baltimore, Philadelphia, Miami, Los Angeles, amongst others.

For today’s interactive feature, I’ve combined another interactive game online.
A baby jaguar between three and four months old was rescued in Amazonas state recently, and was turned over to authorities in Manaus. The baby lost his mother, most likely to hunters.
Globo Amazonia is now holding a naming contest for the little jaguar (onça-pintada). What do you think he should be named?
Leave your answer in the comments section here first (in English and/or Portuguese), and if you’d like to enter the Globo contest, leave a comment on the article there.

For today’s interactive feature, I have an important question for all of our Portuguese Blog readers, which I’m hoping you will all answer, since it will help make a better blog.
The question is: What is your skill level of Portuguese? Beginner, low intermediate, mid intermediate, high intermediate, advanced, fluent? Are you able to speak? Read? Write?
Thank you for your help!
