Today, for today’s interactive feature, the question is: what Brazilian news outlets do you use to get your news about Brazil? They can be TV, print, or online.
I use Estado de Sao Paulo and G1, as well a number of Brazilian blogs that often have links to breaking or recent news stories. I also check Folha de Sao Paulo, on UOL. Globo News has good news videos and live news broadcasts.

For today’s interactive feature, the question is: do you plan on attending the 2014 World Cup and/or the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil?
Sure, it’s a long way off, but I know a lot of people who are already set on attending one event or the other. Are you one of them? If you’re on the fence or considering going, how much would you be willing to pay for tickets to the games? (i.e. $100 for a preliminary soccer match, $250 for track and field, etc) Would you prefer to go to Rio de Janeiro (in the case of the Olympics) or would you prefer to visit Salvador, São Paulo, or Manaus (in the case of the World Cup, though the finals will take place in Rio)?

One sure way to get Brazilians and Brazilophiles talking is by asking the controversial question: which city do you prefer, Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo? So for today’s interactive feature, that’s the question at hand!
The question isn’t intended to imply that one city is better than the other (although some people from each city have that opinion). It is simply a question about personal preference: the beach vs. the urban center, outdoor sports vs. cultural sites, etc.
It’s a tough question, but I want to hear from all of you!

For today’s interactive feature, the question is: what’s your favorite Brazilian dance?
Personally, my favorite kind of dance to do is lambada, which is sometimes referred to as zouk. It’s a ton of fun to dance, though it takes a bit of practice, and is a great workout. I also really enjoy forró from Salvador, which is a lot of fun. Also, while cheesy, axé dance is also a great time.

As we’ve seen in the blog, Brazil’s economy is booming, and the Economist reported yesterday that it has emerged from the recession.
So for today’s interactive feature, the question is: What do you think is Brazil’s most promising industry?
The most obvious answer would be petroleum, given the amount of press and political hoopla, but there are plenty of other industries making a mark on the economy: agriculture, food retail, technology, and telecoms, for example.
What do you think?
