Favorite Brazilian Beach

Posted by Rachel

Brazilians are very serious about their beaches, partially because they have so many beautiful ones to choose from. From Amapa to Rio Grande do Sul, there are thousands of miles of coastline.

So for today’s interactive feature, the question is: what is your favorite Brazilian beach?

I think this is an exceedingly difficult question, since I have visited so many stunningly beautiful beaches in Brazil, but still have many left to see, including those on Fernando de Noronha island, rumored to be the best in the country. I have so many favorites it’s impossible to chose, but I think some of the best states to beach hop in are Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina, and Bahia.

What about you?

Apologies for any mistake in Portuguese!

I’ve been to Praia do Forte twice - I loved it -it is very beautiful. I’ve stayed in Salvador, but I didn’t care for the city beaches - I’ve also been to the beaches on Itaparica and Isla dos Fradoes - nice, but Praia do Forte is much nicer (it’s also on the Atlantic - the others are on All Saint’s Bay).

I also got to see Rio’s famous Copacabana beach - beautiful, but I was there in the winter. I would like to see some of the beaches in the Natal/Fortaleza/Recife area when I visit again.

Gostei praia, Bahia- Porto Seguro, Areial D’ ajuda
lugar muito bonito, onde turista poder ficar semi-nua
    Top Less.
Copacabana, Praia bonita, lugar bonito , tomar
banho de Sol. Ondas muito fortes, perigosa.
não poder ir longe a dentrar mar.

I haven’t been to many beaches, but the one I liked the most out of the ones I visited was Praia do Forte, north of Salvador. It was tucked away from the crowds and featured swaying Palmeiras bending to kiss the sea.
