Today we’re going to look at some food and cooking vocabulary by making a salad together in Portuguese and English. We’re going to look a very simple recipe with some simple words.
Salada simples (Simple Salad)
Ingredientes (Ingredients)
- 1 alface americana (I head of lettuce)
- 2 cenouras raladas (2 peeled carrots)
- 1 beterraba ralada (1 grated beet)
- 1 tomate sem pele e sem semente (1 peeled tomato without the seeds)
- 1 cebola cortada em rodelas (1 onion cut in slices)
Modo de preparo (Preparation)
1. Lave bem todos os ingredientes (Wash ingredients well)
2. Rasgue as folhas do alface para que fiquem menores (Tear the lettuce into smaller pieces)
3. Rale as cenouras e a beterraba (Grate the carrots and the beet)
4. O tomate, após estar sem pele e semente, deve ser picado (After peeling and removing seeds from tomato, slice tomato)
