Kan De tale engelsk?  Do you speak English?
 
Er der nogen tilstede, som kan tale engelsk?  Does anyone here speak English?
 
Jeg kan kun tale en lille smule dansk.  I only speak a little Danish.
 
Hvad hedder De?  What is your name?
 
Jeg hedder Karsten.  My name is Karsten.
 
Hvordan har De det?  How are you?
 
Jeg har det godt, tak.  I am fine, thank you.
 
Det glæder mig at møde Dem.  I am very glad to meet you.
 
Det forstår jeg ikke.  I don't understand.
 
Hvad sagde De?  What did you say?
 
Kan De tale lidt langsommere?  Can you speak more slowly?

Mrs. Jensen: Godmorgen. Kan De tale engelsk?

I'm sorry, I do not speak English.
Mrs. Jensen: Desværre kan jeg kun tale en lille smule dansk.
I'm afraid I only speak a little Danish.
