つつがなしや ともがき (Are my childhood friends in good health?)

あめ かぜ につけても (When the rain and wind seeps through)

おもい いずる ふるさと (I think of my hometown)

こころざし はたして (The will of my hometown is just as expected)

いつのひにか かえらん (Every morning I’d return home)

やまはあおき ふるさと (The mountains were the laurels of my hometown)

みずはきよき ふるさと (The water as pure as my hometown)
