I like the way you use German and English, its funny. I teach at an International school in Germany, most of my kids speak German so when they start to learn to speak english they speak the way you write the of St Nik story.

If you like to learn german the easy way then you should learn important phrases first and memorize them. And watch some vidoes and listen to audio files.

Zuerst was Ich entscheiden das Sie was Wir zu Hause “Gerlish” denannt habe in deiser Blog habt geschrieben. Aber als ich daran mehr andachtet, das ist zehr interesant und Ich glaube werde nutzbar. I am in the same spot as Walter. My family spoke German at home (all except me that is). In that day, it was believed that the children should learn English and would find it confusing to learn two languages, how sad and misguided. So, I am left with nearly total understanding, but a foreigner’s speaking ability. HELP!

Vielen Dank Prashant. I am glad you find my method helpful. In my experience, I have found that people feel more successful learning another language, when they understand the context. Using English with interspersed German makes it more interesting and less overwhelming.
