		<description>Sorry, but whereas &#039;pass away&#039; means &#039;die&#039;, &#039;pass on&#039; doesn&#039;t! Even if you may use it in your local lingo, if a Chinese person learns qu4shi4 to colloquially mean &#039;pass on&#039;=&#039;die&#039;, very-very few English speakers would understand him/her correctly. It is usually a transitive verb (transmit information, tell knowledge, transfer possession of, refer to sb for decision, etc), the intransitive meaning of &#039;move forward&#039; is very different even metaphorically.</description>
