		<description>A recent book by a New York Times reporter, Jennifer 8 Lee, has the thesis that American Chinese food is actually the first example of "fast" food: a recognizable brand ("Chinese food"), where you can get the same stuff in any restaurant (chow mein, General Tsao's chicken, fortune cookies, etc.). These dishes aren't actually Chinese, but that didn't get in the way of their immense success.</description>
