Transparent Language Word of the Day, which is available for free to all language learners, is designed to make language learning part of learners' daily routines by presenting and teaching proper usage of a new word each day. In addition to providing a sample sentence and audio pronunciation, the service also displays language and culture blog articles. Transparent Language Word of the Day adds a unique twist by providing Twitter search functionality to find social media discussions in which the day's word is being used, allowing learners to see exactly how the word is employed by real, native speakers in everyday life.
"We believe language learning is an important element of global citizenship," said Michael Quinlan, CEO of Transparent Language. "In addition to our paid government, institutional, and consumer product offerings, we also strive to provide high-quality, free learning resources; the continued addition of new Word of the Day languages is a part of that."
Language learners may subscribe to Transparent Language Word of the Day through email, RSS feed, Twitter, or Facebook. In addition, blogs and websites can embed a fully-customizable language widget on their site, free of charge. For a full list of the languages offered, visit www.transparent.com/wotd/
