DLI, the premier language school for the U.S. military, awards contract for
Transparent Language’s CL-150 Technology Matrix for Critical Languages
Nashua, NH August 8, 2006 - Transparent Language, Inc. announced today that the company has
been awarded a contract from the Defense Language Institute for a community-wide license of
its
CL-150 Technology Matrix for Critical Languages product.
The
CL-150 Technology Matrix for Critical Languages is a comprehensive suite of software
applications and content designed to support language teaching and learning in a variety of
settings, from classroom use to fully independent learning.
Prior to this award, Transparent Language software was already being used on DLI’s main
campus in Monterey, California by a number of Defense Language Institute component and
affiliated organizations, such as the Emerging Languages Task Force, the Navy’s Center for
Information Dominance Detachment, and Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The new CL-150
Community License announced today expands the availability of the CL-150 at DLI to the
maximum extent possible, providing all DLI students, instructors, and base personnel with
unlimited access to all CL-150 software applications and content.

The Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center at the Presidio of Monterey,
California is the primary foreign language school for the United States Department of Defense.
